The book is about a small man with the last truffula tree seed. The small man tells a story about long ago when a Once-ler used the tuft on the truffula trees to make a Thneed. A Thneed was a cloth thing that you could use for any thing, and every one needed them. Then the man who builds Thneeds business gets bigger, and bigger untill all the trees are gone and the world is polluted, and all the animals had gone away. The small man tells the person he is telling to story to that he has the choice to re-grow the truffula trees, by planting the last seed.</div><div align="left">This book has been banned in schools and librarys for its controvercial political content. It is teaching kids that the companys who cut down trees are very evil. It is also the only book that Dr. Suess has ever changed himself after publication.
